Pietermaritzburg Eye Hospital achieves two incredible milestones!

A landmark week at the Pietermaritzburg Eye Hospital, with two incredible milestones reached, enables the Hospital and Ophthalmologists to assist more people with specialised eye care.
 
The commissioning of the new Zeiss Lumera 700 with Calisto functionality enables Ophthalmologist to accurately position advanced lenses during cataract and lens procedures.  The selection of lens according to individual needs can also improve the visual outcome and satisfaction after the procedure. In addition to the new microscope, the additional second operating theatre was opened for use, increasing the access to care by Doctors and patients in the greater Pietermaritzburg, Midlands and KZN communities.
